Overview of my process


1. Meet

I will host a roundtable discussion with key players on the team, finding out the pain points they are having with the current development process.

2. Review

Are you using Jira but not to the full extent? Are you using Asana, Trello, Teamwork or Basecamp for complex software development? I will review your current tool set setup.

3. Design

Using the discussion points from your team and review of your current tool set as guidance, I will create a custom development process that will work for you and your team.

4. Plan

5. Migrate

I will run the migration from your old tool to Jira, ensuring all data is imported as expected. This is often the most complicated step.

6. Document

I will create detailed documentation and instructions for your team members in order for them to understand the configuration.

7. Configure

I will customize your tool instance for your team’s needs, including: issue type types, projects, workflows, and all schemes (issue type, custom field, screen, notification, permission, etc).

8. Train

I will train your team on how to use this new process. This includes initial training sessions as well as being available by slack or Zoom for questions during the implementation phase.

9. Perfect

As you use your new workflow, sometimes you might need to make some tweaks. I schedule follow-ups at 1, 3 and 6 months to check in with the team and make any required changes.
